HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU TRAIN

In my response to the question at hand, I proceed from the real state of affairs — namely, that you are ordinary man or a woman with a long list of responsibilities: family, work, studies, and so on. Accordingly, you don’t have the opportunity to stay in a dedicated training camp for an extended period (a week, a month, etc.). Likewise, you don’t have the ability to spend several hours training 4–5 times a week over the course of a year or even half a year.

Based on all this, the conclusion is as follows: one must transform their life — their daily routine — into a permanent form of training (spiritual, psychological, intellectual, physical, technical). Only in this way can one maintain constant readiness regardless of life circumstances.

Example of permanent spiritual training: Pray before and after beginning any task.
Example of permanent psychological training: Every morning and evening, before and after each training session — practice autogenic training.
Example of permanent intellectual training: Get rid of the television and read books instead of watching mindless shows; listen to audiobooks during your commute instead of silly songs.

Example of permanent physical training: If you can walk up the stairs or reach your destination on foot — walk; if you can put on a sock while standing on one leg — stand, don’t sit; if you can carry your groceries without using a cart — carry them in your hands. And so on.

Example of permanent technical training: Practice your technical skill set wisely at every opportunity — in the morning as part of your warm-up, when you see your reflection in a mirror, while playing with your children. And so on.

I teach more about how to build permanent training systems in my training programs.
